Farewell Groupsmore

by kiawin

Finally, it is time to say goodbye to Groupsmore. It will cease operation in few days time and all data will be migrated to its Groupon branded site with more functionality.

I am particularly in favour with their paperless voucher strategy via QR code.

“All vouchers will come with unique QR codes. Some time in the near future, All Groupon merchants will be equipped with the right tools (to read the QR codes)

Looking forward for Groupsmore 2.0.

Hey there.

We started GroupsMore in September 2010 to offer great deals.

When we were invited to hop onboard the Groupon wagon in January, we celebrated our first milestone. Throughout the journey we had many little but significant celebrations scattered along the way.

Within the next couple of days, we are about to cross yet another milestone. After running on two platforms since June 2011, we will be taking the final step to migrate our website, GroupsMore to the international Groupon platform, hosted on www.groupon.my.

This means that after the migration completes, www.groupsmore.com will be redirected towww.groupon.my.

What this means to you:
After migration, your vouchers, valid tokens, and deals will all be available on the international Groupon platform, www.groupon.my. If you own an account on GroupsMore, you will be able to login with your same username and password on Groupon.my.

If you face any problems, email us at [email protected].

What you can look forward to:

1. Vouchers will be emailed directly to your inbox.
We understood the hassle for many when it comes to retrieving Groupons, so vouchers will be sent as PDF attachments after your purchase.

2. Access Groupon through your iPhone
We have launched the Groupon application for iOS. You can now download this app for free on your iPhones from iTunes or the Apple App Store for faster access to today’s deals, and your Groupons.

3. New international payment system with enhanced security. Groupon recognizes that the most important part of our website is the buying process. This is why Groupon will now use an international payment gateway, Adyen. This payment gateway is also used by other reputable companies such as Vodafone and KLM Airways.

4. Pay with PayPal.
Due to popular demand, we have also integrated PayPal as a payment method in Groupon, so you could now purchase your favorite deals with your PayPal account. PayPal is fast, efficient, secure – and accepted by millions of stores globally.

5. Groupon tokens will  be replaced with Groupon credits, which is not limited to 1 token per voucher. You can now combine all your credits and make your purchases – just like cash, giving you bigger savings and discounts.

6. Improved look on vouchers.
All vouchers will come with unique QR codes. Some time in the near future, all Groupon merchants will be equipped with the right tools to ease the redemption process, saving you time in the queue. It is important that all vouchers are printed out and presented upon redemption.

7. Deals segmented, closer to you.
We recognize that location of the deal is most relevant to you. We have segmented deals according to cities, for instance deals in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and National Deals (available nationwide). You can check out all deals available in other cities by clicking on the city name at the top of the page.

You can read more about the changes in our blog.

If you need help with something, or have any questions/suggestions, write to us at [email protected] or call us at 03-79490888. Our support team is now operating 365 days/year and has also extended the operating hours from Monday – Friday (8am – 12am) and Saturdays & Sundays (10am – 7pm).

Thanks again!
